Our performing arts center wants to use a fork lift under the 9' Steinway to put the piano on a 12" platform. Anyone have serious reservations about doing this. They use to do this monthly, and I can find no visible structural evidence of damage to the instrument. The fork lift operator is quite experienced and is extremely careful. It takes less than 1 minute. What does everyone think about this practice? John Minor Unversity of Illinois
