1/7 comma Meantone is an interesting tuning. About 5 years ago I used to keep one piano here always in that tune and know some friends who still use it a lot. It is surprisingly not restrictive, yet preserves some colorful leading tones, but didn't personally turn me on enough to make more use of it. It was also a bit of a challenge, but forget the details of specifically how I put it together at the time. I do remember that the G#-Eb of Ab major is proportionally beating with the third of that triad. I think it was 1:2, and it works. You have to hear it to believe it. Dennis @ St. Olaf
