I can't visualize how the Steinway has been retrofitted with a Mason & Hamlin resonator. In M&Hs the resonator is installed above the braces and below the soundboard. The pianos are designed with space there for the system. The resonators are installed in the inner rim before the outer rim is attached. In a S&S the soundboard would have to be removed to have access above the braces, but there isn't enough space there anyway unless the braces are notched (and their integrity compromised) to accommodate the legs of the resonator. In the S&S how are the legs of the resonator anchored to the rim? Bob Hohf
