I agree with you. But the problem is not always a matter of educating the 
faculty, or the administration. Sometimes the problems lies with the fund raising 
department of the school. It is much easier to get someone to donate $90,000 
for a new Steinway, on which their name can be put, than to give $90,000 to 
rebuild 3 or 4 older pianos.
