Kent, Thank you very much for passing this along. Joe was one of the few folks at Steinway who realized that those of us outside the company had things to offer, too. A real loss for the piano world. Also, for those who might also have known him, I am remiss in not noting the passing of Doug Larson, this last July. For those who did know Doug, there isn't much to say. For those who did not have the privilege, we lost a real friend whose depth of knowledge of pianos in general and Steinway in particular simply defied description. At 59 and 65, both were far, far too young; and will not be replaced.
