My question to you is, if you charge your normal rate for the first piano, and it took you 30 minutes to tune, then how much do you charge per hour to do the other tunings? Is you hourly rate the same as your tuning rate? Do you charge a full hour for only a partial hour? In other words, it looks like you might be doing the same thing I do, except in reverse. Instead of charging full boat for the first tuning, and then by the hour, I give the discount up front. Looks to me we're winding up with the same amount of money in our pocket.
