Steinway double layer bushing cloth

To replace the double cloth-
Note the seam placements.
Test using tapered bushing cloth strips to find the right widths and =
thickness. =20
Standard thicknesses of bushing cloth will do, nothing special needed.
Glue the first strip in using spinet hammer shanks as cauls. (They are =
finally good for something!)
Pull the second strip through without glue.  Friction and fuzz will hold =
it.
Insert bridge pins for sizing cauls and apply shrinking solution.
Let dry 24 hours.
