Michelle, I use only two strips of leather laying in a cross fashion in the hole at the end of the pedal. The width of each strips is half the dimension of the hole in the pedal. I do not glue the leather strips in the hole I just press slide the pedal rods in place. It is even quieter than rubber and do not need lubrification. I hope you understand my english.
