It works very well for us, and we seldom have conflicts such as those mentioned in past posts. 1. BYU's Scheduling Office sends us "Booking Confirmations" (a one page document with all the details) at least two weeks before the event. If something comes up sooner they call AND send written notice. They are very efficient and we always know what is coming up. No surprises. They work with us on those few spur of the moment happenings. (rare) Mostly, they tell people NO. (Because we are so tight for time there isn't much leeway) 2. We have access to the campus scheduling program (via internet) and can type in the building and room number and see when it is in use. We can then schedule it for tuning and maintenance. Most schools have this capability but aren't willing to let others have access to it. We're lucky. 3. Our music building has its own web site for scheduling and we can see the scheduled events in the concert venues for months ahead. BTW, we have 2 main recital/concert venues and 7 minor venues. (5 D's, 1 CF, and 1 SD10, and several smaller grands) 4. Our computer program for managing our inventory (pianos) can print our tuning schedule for the day, week or month, and keeps tuning and maintenance histories, alerts us if a piano is overdue for a tuning, etc. etc. It also has billing capabilities, an exhaustive information page for each piano including pictures of each, and many other tools. It is user friendly and takes very little time to enter data. This may seem like overkill, but remember, we have 404 pianos to maintain! Now, if I could only get the darn computer to tune pianos I'd really have it easy!
