If Mapes doesn't have a scaling for this piano you will need to=
charge the customer for a service call to take measurements. =
If you measure the neighbors, i.e. core, core + winding, length=
from hitch to winding and possibly make a paper tracing, Mapes=
can make a bass string for you. Somewhere I have cool tape=
measure with a hook for measuring the lengths in one shot...I=
can't find it! Who makes this tool?

Subject: Samick string

List,

Does anyone know if there is a way to order a single bass string
for a Samick SU 110A #616253 (1985)? The customer removed it when=

it broke and threw it away without thinking. Just another=
 example
of "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing". :-)

Thanks.
Avery
