For those of you who are currently conducting data logger research or are just plain interested ... enjoy. If you do not have the Data Logger Software, I have also attached <Graphic March 19 2003.jpg> so you can see the graph (I hope it goes thru the server). Thanks to Roger Wheelock of Dampp-Chaser for providing the data loggers. Garret ----------------------------- High Point Piano - Garret E. The choral department during the 2003-2004 school year, moved into a new building as a part of the schools recent expansion project. This new expansion houses the Choral, Band, and Art Department. Issues of concern are severe cracks (1mm to 3mm in thickness) between almost every soundboard panel and severe tuning instability. At the beginning of the school year no actual temperature and humidity measurements were taken. However, faculty and students report that during the summer/fall term (morning temperature and humidity levels would be uncomfortably very high; and by the end of the day the class room would be so cold (and dry) that students would have to wear sweaters and coats to keep warm. Regarding current Logger Data, measurements began on 12/12/03 and ceased on 3/19/04 for a total of 99 days with a total of 14,119 samples. Temperatures ranged from 82.9 to 64.1 with an average of 71.2 degrees. Humidity ranged from 46.8 to 12.8 with an average of 27.0 RH. During the month of February, the spike in Humidity seems to be attributable to the closing of school for the holiday break. On 2/4/04 a complete 5PS-50-SHB Dampp-Chaser System was installed. On or about 3/15/04 it appears that the system became un-plugged for a period of days. On 3/19/04 current Data Logger was renamed and reset and an additional two data loggers were positioned in the room as noted below. -------------------------- RESET DATA LOGGER AND SET TWO NEW UNITS -------------------------- User ID: HPP:1NWGuilHiSch Location: Choral Room Hardware Model: TP-120 Serial Number: 0224247 Start Date/Time: 3/19/04 Sample/Update Interval: 10 minute (600 Seconds) Placement: Attached to Chalk Board Stop or Wrap: 112 Days Retrieval Date: (On about 7/12/04) Attached Log: Comments: -------------------------- User ID: HPP:2NWGuilHiSch Location: Choral Room Hardware Model: TP-120 Serial Number: 02242465 Start Date/Time: 3/19/04 Sample/Update Interval: 10 minute (600 Seconds) Placement: Inside Piano, Right Side (Action Area) Stop or Wrap: 112 Days Retrieval Date: (On about 7/12/04) Attached Log: Comments: -------------------------- User ID: HPP:3NWGuilHiSch Location: Choral Room Hardware Model: TP-120 Serial Number: 02112129 Start Date/Time: 3/19/04 Sample/Update Interval: 10 minute (600 Seconds) Placement: Backside of Piano (w/Backside Cover) Stop or Wrap: 112 Days Retrieval Date: (On about 7/12/04) Attached Log: Comments: -------------------------- [Graph at:] http://tinyurl.com/ysjvf https://www.moypiano.com/ptg/files/attachments/3d/cc/ee/c4/ GraphicMarch192003.jpg [Data log file at:] http://tinyurl.com/36c9x https://www.moypiano.com/ptg/files/attachments/bc/aa/6d/4c/ DownloadedData-FridayMarch192004.log
