Hi all,
Many of you probably received a mailer in the last couple days, but for
those who didn't:
Steinway & Sons has just announced a new training opportunity,
specifically aimed the needs of the college and university technician:
"Concert and Technical Strategies for Institutional Technicians." Like the
sessions offered at the factory in New York City, it will be one week in
length, and will cost $850, including lodging and meals. Unlike the NYC
seminars, it will be held at Oberlin Conservatory, and will be open to 15
participants. Training will be offered by Eric Shandall and John Patton of
Steinway, and by Ken Sloan and John Cavanaugh of Oberlin. The first session
will be held this summer, July 18-24.
For further information, contact Anna Hoffmann at (440)775-8044,
anna.Hoffmann@oberlin.edu; or John Patton, Director of Technical Services,
Steinway & Sons, 1 Steinway Place, Long Island City, NY 11105. Applications
are due by May 21.
