"Did anyone resolve why the old SD-6's won't pass a standard repetition-spring test?" Background: In KC one night, after some great hospitality in Eric and Jon's room/bistro, a bunch of us went out for Italian. Somewhere along the line someone mentioned trouble setting rep. springs in a Baldwin SD-6: the hammers simply wouldn't rise out of check! I realized I'd witnessed the identical problem, as did at least three others at the table (Eric, Jon & Nevin?). (John M., Trevor and Stan were there too, sorry, I've forgotten someone's name) Anyhow, does anyone have an explanation/solution? BTW Eric, I recall you mentioned hanging hammers on several Baldwin L's at a non-standard length (to center-pin). You've got my curiousity. Could you relate the how and why? (I have a 63'L in the shop with a set of Encore shanks ready to on) thanks, Mark Cramer, Brandon University
