I just didn't want to do this to 9 pianos if it really isn't an issue
for their use. It doesn't seem to affect regulation.

Hi Jim,
               A small amount of pulley, Just lay a damp cloth over the
holes and use the tip of an iron to steam them.   It should clear up the
problem.
