Hi all,

The way it was taught to me was from my mentor Jack Stebbins' great suggestion.
To use three fingers for the test blows. The thumb, index finger, and 
the next one ("the bird"). Use the three fingers at the same time, 
and it distributes the impact on three instead of one. Has worked for 
me for the past thirteen years.
