Susan, It must be a different size string mixed in with the other strings for both notes (side by side). It's giving off an enharmonic ring ( false beat ). Could this be ?? Someone could have mixed in a 12 ga. string with a 13 ga. string, therefore, the two different diameter strings on the same pitch are " fighting " against one another. Measure and check. Did that solve it ??
