So there Michelle has her answer: the bobbling made it through editing and
post-production because Glenn Gould actually liked it! Took a bit of doing,
but we came up with what will pass as ³The Truth.² I guess the rest is
speculation: imagine poor sound editor approaching Gould, trying politely to
suggest that maybe he redo this take, etc, etc. Or maybe nobody had the
gumption to approach the genius. What the heck, he was a superstar, and his
records sold. Humming, bobbles, so what? That¹s how you know it¹s genuine
Glenn. <G>
