[CAUT] Water Damage to Practice Room U1s

My experience with Japanese pianos has been that you can get bass
strings that sound at least as good (if not considerably better) for
less money, and made right here in the US of A. Has anybody else out
there tried non-Bosendorfer bass strings on one of their pianos? I did
once (quite some time ago) and was woefully disappointed. They do make
mighty fine strings. Just wondering if the sound is unique to them, if
it is closely approximated by someone else, or if anyone's after-market
strings produce a different but "also wonderful" sound on Bosies.

 Bill ol' buddy,
same thing you get when you spend over $1,000. for authentic
Bosendorfer
strings and wait 6 months to get them from Austria. Original marketing
as
Don has noted. Personally I prefer GC or Arledge depending on how much
bite
you're lookin for. I like GC for Yamaha.
