Hi Susan,
 
it didn't happen to me, but to my helper. I saw the piano leave the
tilter and end up a few feet away. Not a pleasant sight.

And which, with good fortune, one NEVER WILL ENCOUNTER! Why, the broken
plate threads alone ... but there was that moment when a tilter
disintegrated underneath my very own upright. I bet there aren't too
many people who had that happen to them.
