Swings makes a difference of around 2g from bass to treble in the gram reading (because of heavier hammers). Your regulation procedure may take this into account some other way. I've heard Correx spoken of highly (not cheap, though; check eBay). You might want two: 0 - 10g, and 5 - 30. David Stanwood recommends sorting new shanks by weight, not friction. The weight will stay the same for the life of the part; friction won't. --Cy--
