Some colleges and government institutions (a Federal prison!  I have 
stories...) prefer to pay by credit card, for some reason.  PayPal is an 
easy way to accept these occasional payments.  The customer does not have to 
join PayPal; only you need to.

This might be a way to speed up payment.  It also helps to find out if your 
approving professor has an assistant, and work through them.
