I have used them for years on a couple pianos six feet long or shorter and have had no problems.

Please read the disclaimer in the catalogs concerning the use of the cast iron leg-cups. They are intended for shop use only. I had the unfortunate job of replacing a rear leg on a S&SD because another technician had installed these caster devices. The bearings disintegrated from the weight. A word of warning.
