How do you solve the turning over of the stack constantly to check the work? The way I have done it you can travel a shank, check it refine it, do the next one. Of course I'm talking a whole new set of shanks, just installed. The reference points with the pencil are easy. I brought this method into Dale's shop and Dale keeps talking about how so and so puts marks every .36784 mm and blah blah. However, I still maintain, if it's not obvious, it's easier to just pick up the pencil and with a quick slash you have a mark where you need it and it fits with the angle of YOUR head, the blurrynes of vision and the lighting. Dale's last kid shop willey agreed me and between us we have traveled more sets of shanks than Dale in the last 4 years by about 10 to 1. LOL Keith
