Hello all, Yet another job announcement: ----------------------------- School of Music at the University of Northern Colorado Job Title: PIANO TUNER-TECHNICIAN - STRUCTURAL TRADES II Position Number: 1171 Job Location: Greeley , CO 80639 Salary: $2,806.00 minimum to $3,382.00 maximum per month Release Date: August 23, 2007 Apply By: September 14, 2007 Employment Type: Full-Time Class Code: D6D2XX Information About The Job: DUTIES: This position is in the School of Music at the University of Northern Colorado and will tune, repair, maintain and rebuild pianos that are owned by and are on loan to UNC. The position tunes approximately 85 pianos located in concert halls, classrooms, teaching studios and practice rooms. Tunes pianos for concerts, and makes adjustments within the piano action to obtain the best possible sound for the given piano. Regulates or adjusts pianos to proper specifications for optimal performance levels. Reconditions and repairs all components of pianos. Rebuilds pianos owned by the University by replacing complete sets of parts. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Four years of experience in piano tuning and maintenance. Registered Piano Technician Certification through the Piano Technician Guild or equivalent is required. On-call status is required for guest artists who may have a short time with the instrument, or in case of emergency repair situations. A background check will be required.
