Swimming pool tender? They don't know what one is so they certainly don't have one with which to compare this salary. If one looked at the average salary of a starting professor at SIU one would see what a joke that salary is...unless, of course, they provide 100% cost of premium health insurance and pay the equivalent of the salary into a retirement or IRA account! They may have a "School of Music" but they sure have a lot to learn. That salary is obscenely low! Joy!
