I have attached a poem written for Steinway by Alfred Brendel that was included in the liner notes of the CONCLUDING NOTES CD commemorating Brendel's long relationship with Steinway. Brendel gave his final performance in December 2008 in Vienna. The translation is by William Kinderman, musicologist at the University of Illinois School of Music.
