If the hammers are worn, you need to compensate for that during setup.
Increase the blow distance by the amount lost from the original bore length.
This will set the angle of the shank to original spec and consequentially the
core angle.

Make sure the wippen flange center is about 2.5" below the Hammer 
flange center.
