Dear Friends- The phone rang a few minutes ago, and it was John Granholm calling! He was wonderfully up-beat, and his voice was clear and energetic. He recognizes he has a steep recovery ahead, but is optimistic and eager to get on with it. He sends greetings to everyone. He expects to be transfered to a rehabilitation center very soon, perhaps in three days. The biggest question right now is how soon, and how fully he will regain the use of his hands. I wish I had recorded the conversation. I would not have known from his voice that anything was wrong. John has an amazing spirit!
