[CAUT] lanolin in hammers/VS pro-felt?

sorry, Fred,

I applied it to the felt under the leather.  Of course, it "leaked" into 
the leather which was not the intent.  Still, nothing positive happened. I 
think this stuff is bunk.

I thought you said you tried it on knuckles. Or were those the famous felt 
knuckles, not covered in leather?
