Hey Craig, longtime my friend. Thanks for the message.I'm in the middle of North Dakota, a very rare area of theworld where there is no authorized Steinway dealer influenceso we are in direct negotiations with the factory. Perfect.Jim Hoover, Steinway rep and great guy, was just here and assured me that the Hamburg techs running aroundthe factory have improved the details. Does that mean agraffes are squared, front duplex bars aren't washedout, and the flanges are  pinned so the shanks don'ttravel to
Wal-Mart and back before engaging the wire?I'm gonna take it easy on them because they are gettingplenty from Williams at TCU about extremely low, barely hanging on,
tuning pin torque on some recentnew arrivals. Seems the factory is saying 60lbs.of torque is awesome. Don't ask James about thiswith your ear to close to the phone, seems KentWebb's spec sheet is a little blurry. I don't know, haven't tuned a new one in over four years butbefore we go "All-Steinway I'm going to Fort Worthto check this out and we'll have to try and make itdown your way.  see ya. Thanks again.
