[CAUT] 0.0 Fortepiano

Fred, others,

Remember that 2 years ago I tried a "table" mounted Damp-chaser under a harpsichord. It didn't work. The only way it may work is if a tent like thing was placed over the instrument. What I determined was that THE ROOM is best treated rather than the instrument; i.e. a room humidity system.

Most harpsichords (all authentic ones) have closed bottoms, so it is
ineffective. I once experimented with hanging Dampits around the rim
when renting an instrument out, with no perceptible result. (Those,
you have to wet on a regular basis, so not terribly practical).
