Subject: [CAUT] Looking for field testers for 5-gallon watering system

  Hello Everybody,

We have been working with a technician to develop a 5-gallon reservoir for Piano Life Saver Systems. We think these may be useful at colleges and universities. We are making four prototypes for testing. We hope to find four field testers that would be interested in giving the units a try. We would furnish a complete System plus the reservoir along with instructions. Things should be ready for delivery in December, hopefully allowing for installation between terms at your college or university. We would like the test to run through May, so that unit is working through the winter and spring. The only data we need is water addition frequency. We would also welcome feedback on design improvements and installation. We want to test two grand and two vertical pianos. We are also looking for some variety in climates to get a better feel for water usage under various conditions. A field tester can keep the equipment after the test.

The only other requirement is that you sign a confidentiality agreement with us. We have a legal agreement we commonly use. However, I understand that getting such an agreement approved at your institution may be a big hassle. Thus we are also willing to draft a simple agreement between you and us indicating that you will not copy our design. The technicians we know are men and women of their word, and we trust that a simple, personal agreement is adequate.

If you are interested, please contact me off the list at roger at dampp-chaser.com.

Thanks so much for your consideration.

  Roger
