I like to feel that I have some control over how info about myself is publically advertised. I would imagine that a lot of other technicians feel the same way. Here at school, before the new faculty/staff directory is printed, everyone receives a form allowing them to specify what info they want in the directory. Some people opt to include their home address and phone and others don't. This makes for extra work, but it protects people's privacy. Perhaps it would be possible for PTG members to specify this info and any changes that they would like when they pay dues. Also, if a person wants to make a change in the info displayed at any time, e-mail/snail mail addresses could be supplied for the person in charge of this part of the page.
