Moldy bass strings

The only thing that I've seen that may be close is a substance called Paris
Green. This was used to control infestation of pests......moths, mice, etc.
Some used the powder in limited areas and then some were VERY liberal in
spreading it just about everywhere in the piano. Hope this helps.
