We use the steel U-bolt lock from APSCO with a keyed padlock. The students and faculy are amazingly good at keeping it locked. Keys are controlled by a central key issuing entity within a separate music building. I think the trick is to get people in the HABIT of keeping doors and pianos locked, but you've also got to make it as easy as possible for them to comply. Now if we could only get them to shut off those lights when they leave.... John Minor Piano Technician University of Illinois jminor@uiuc.edu
