Hi, Alan, Universal strings are a big compromise at best and at worse can severly compromise the tone of a good piano. That being said the first step is to match the core, this determines the inharmonicity. The wrap is matched next and here you have options. A smaller wrap reduces tension, a larger one increases tension. I would go for a slightly smaller wrap before a larger one.
