Hi Arlie: >A great book my wife gave me for Christmas a while back is "My Life with >the Great Pianists" by Franz Mohr. He claims there is no such thing as >perfect pitch even though some people claim to have it. He says no one can >really tell whether A is 440 or 438. HOGWASH! I could do it for years and know several others who can. I don't claim to have "perfect pitch". Now that I am a piano tuner, I have lost this ability, though if I gave up tuning and went back to playing I am sure the "ability" would return. Don Rose drose@maple.net
