Yeah, I'm the one who stuck a recquetball on the end of my hammer, remember? As I feared, the hole in the ball started to rip out but not before I was hooked on the feel. So I hired a guy with a lathe (he makes custom pool cues) to add some wood to the end of my hammer in the approximate shape of a light bulb. He did a beautiful job - it looks like it's been that way all it's life. It didn't add any length to the hammer (shorter is better I believe), and only a little extra weight which doesn't seem to affect the feel when it's on the pin. So far I like it although the hard wood is still, well, *hard*. Jeff Stickney, RPT University of Montana jpage@selway.umt.edu
