Plugging...

Sorry to be among the last to offer you -my- council on this matter, Ray.
I've not been keeping up with the mail. But now it's the weekend when they
let me out of the home.

I stand to be corrected BIG time by this group, but would vote for no
"plugs". Use a reinforcement or rebuttal means of support instead.

[Going into my most un-facetious -- where's Fred Tremper when you need him?
-- mode]

Seriously Ray, study some of the posts for a while. Mannino (YCA) appears to
-try- to remain neutral. He responds to 'universal' questions with generic
answers. Sometimes this involves parallels with his company's products when
the questions go out of his area of expertise -- for example, the current
threads on "wood". In this type of exchange (in spite of the typos for the
names of the wood), everyone wins. And Pianoguru, aka (Baldwin) Emerson has
not brought forth any product pitches that I've observed, although he's
apologizing for something. I must have blown right past whatever initiated
that.

Solid technical updates as applicable to this group for better
understanding/servicing a particular product are a different matter -- not to
mention a rarity. But I would vote for NO input on case colors, music rack
design changes, how long the #1 bass string is, or how a 42" console "grew"
to 43" due to new casters. Ditto for fanfares and other 'smoke'. Depending on
which electronic medium, this type of 'plug' could be considered "noise" or
"excessively annoying behavior".

This list is everything I've dreamed it would be -- since 1982 (not a typo)
when I started dreaming. The comraderie, the ability to disagree while
maintaining peace and harmony is overwhelming. And above all, an inexpensive
fraternal vehicle for communicating with our colleagues when we can't be with
them.

Perhaps you meant the word 'refer' or 'reference' in lieu of 'plug'?

Glad to see you finally made it on. It only took... two months?
