Dear Barrie,

There are schools in the USA for piano tuning, repairing, regulation,
voicing, rebuilding, and refinishing.

Membership in the Piano Technicians Guild is open to all individuals with a
professional or avocational interest in piano technology.

There are basically two categories, Associate Member and Registered Piano
Technician.

To qualify as an Registered Piano Technician member, applicants must pass a
written test, a technical test, and a tuning test by a score of at least 80%.

If you wish to know more specifics, request a brochure from the PTG Home
Office in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. Their email address is
75032.3711@compuserve.com.

Sincerely,
