molding and more specifically, how to steam and bend the wood to conform to

Tom,
Is quarter round or an ornate molding? Anyhow, one trick is to kerf the
side(s) of the molding that do not show. The degree of bend determines the
size of the kerf. Next, fabricate a steam application device- example: tea
pot with tubing duct taped to the spout. Soak the molding well, apply heat
and/or steam as needed, then start bending. Mask off areas of the soundboard
and rim that you do not want to steam. It is best to do this before
refinishing board or rim just in case.

Good luck,
