I agree there will always be winners and looses when you regulate
anything, especially if the Government does it, as they tend to use a
sledge hammer to crack a nut.

Choices are being made on your behalf every day whether you like it or
not.  It is part of being in a democratic society.  Changes are made for
the good of all in theory. as you will find as we did in Europe the cost
of terrism on your main land means an errosion of freedom of the
individual, this is the price we pay for living in a demorcracy and
being tolerant of minority groups.

  You say you are a member of the Ptg and you charge more because your
service is superior, there is nothing wrong with that;  the PTG insists
on a minimum standard a control to ensure that every tuner in the US.
meets that minimum requirement surely in the long term this would raise
the standards and of course, enevetably it would raise the overall cost
of tunings, but there will sstill be compettition within a regulated
industry as there is, I should imagine, in your dentistry industry for
instance.
