It is difficult to believe that bushings can be worn out in three months time.
To preserve the felt or leather polish the pins with Flitz, available from
Pianotek and use Glide-all or other teflon spray lubricant on FELT AND pins.
This will prevent excessive wear.

There is someone who advertises in the classified part of the Journal that has
a collection of leather bushing material.
