I strongly urge every tuner to go to an audiologist and have a pair of
"musician's earplugs" custom-fitted. Keep them with you at all times, and
when tuning small pianos or pianos in enclosed spaces, wear them. They don't
block out everything, but they will attenuate loud noises enough so that you
won't suffer a noise hangover.

I HATE noise hangovers!
