Question: What happens when the next technician has to remove these CA
glued leathers in the next backcheck reconditioning. Does CA remove with
steam? I thought we were to use hot hide glue for these situations. Any
thoughts?

A subject somewhat related to squeaky wippens. I have noticed that some
newer Baldwin 243's really squeak at the damper return springs. On some,
the cure seems to be a slight rebending of the springs, because the
squeak originates at the point of friction between the spring and the
wood. I have found that applying CPL here helps for a while, but slight
spring bending is the more permanent cure.
