Ed Hilbert's description of the "scam" of "reposessed" Kimballs (or other brands) sold out of the backs of trucks is a very accurate description of a common phenomenon. The only thing I would add is that although the customer is given the impression he/she is getting a good deal, the same or equivalent piano can often be purchased for less from a local dealer.
