Want to challenge your mathematical skills?
The contest is on and here are the rules!
Read and complete the following two questions.
Submit your work sheets and answers along with your name and
address to Mr. Xs Earnings, P.O. Box 2017 Prescott, Ontario, K0E 1T0
or by E-mail to lefbart@afm.org.
We will issue prizes to the first four people to answer these skill testing
questions correctly.
Winners names wil be posted on this BBS and notified by mail
on or before February 5, 1996.
Question #1
T. Smith Construction LTD. decided to hire one new employee, Mr. X.
They proposed that Mr. X work 50 weeks per year, 5 days per week, Monday to Friday.
After 22= days of employment Mr. X had earned a gross amount of $3908.52.
Mr. Smith needed to decide wether or not he could afford Mr. Xs services,
so, he asked his accountant to calculate Mr. Xs average salary.
Find for Mr. Smith, Mr. Xs daily, weekly, monthly and annual salary.
Then, take Mr. Xs annual salary and divide by 52.
This is the magic number for question #1.
Question #2

Then, take Mr. Xs annual salary and divide by 52.
