Larry Fine's "The Piano Book" mentions a maker which has hitch pins which are not solid, but tubular, being made out of what appears from his drawing to be strips of metal which have been bent around (rather than a seemless, pipelike construction). I think that this was a maker with "adjustable height" strings, i.e., the hitch pins might be installed vertically and the string adjusted up or down on it. Is this Baldwin?
