Bleach

On the subject of adding bleach to the humidifier to keep mold spores from
multiplying, PLEASE DON'T! David Lamoreaux said it exactly right in his
1/14/96 response to Kathy Hodge. The product "Humidifier Air Freshner" that
we supply is misnamed. It does much more than deodorize the air. It is a
very effective "bacteriastat" (kills bacteria). Walmart used to carry and
sell it for something less than you would pay buying it through our system.
This is an inexpensive source if they still carry it. In any case, avoid
using anything we have not tested and approved. We have seen more than one
case where a piano was damaged because the wrong additive was added to the
humidifier.
