The CAUT Committee wishes to invite you to join us in our tour of the Music facility and piano shop of the Univ. of Mich. at Ann Arbor on Thursday evening during the Convention at Dearborn. Our host technicians, Robert Grijalva and Ron Torrella, have arranged transportation for us with the University shuttle service. This bus can carry as many as 45 people and this is your opportunity to make an early reservation for one of these seats. It has worked out this year that the tour will take place before our forum so obviously you cannot wait until then to sign up. We do plan to have a sign up sheet available at the registration desk, but I encourage you to send me a personal note now to guarantee your seat. We will not know the exact cost for this transportation /person ahead of time though because we will divide the total cost (less than $200.00) by the riders. If we fill the bus that would be only about $5.00/person, including tip. It was not possible to schedule this tour so as not to conflict with something else during the Convention. The other event scheduled for Thurs. evening is the Fandrich reception, and it is possible that we might return in time for you to catch the end of that gathering. On behalf of the CAUT Committee I hope that you will take advantage of your special online status by making an early reservation for a seat on our tour bus. If the bus should happen to fill up others may come too, but we could not provide transportation. I think that it will be a fun ride together as well as an interesting tour. This tour, brought to you by the CAUT Committee of the PTG, is open to all registrants of the PTG Convention who are interested in institutional piano service, as is our forum class on Friday afternoon. Hope to see you at both events. Send no money now, just your reservation commitment by personal e-mail to me today, before you forget over the holiday. Dennis Johnson CAUT Chair johnsond@stolaf.edu djohn@skypoint.com P.S. BTW, remember also to take the weekend off! I am going on a 3-4 day trip with an old friend on his large boat down the Mississippi River.
